A two year prehistoric girl as asthma what medication does she necessitate

a two year as asthma does she need an inhaler
Answers:
Depends on how severe her asthma is. If it's mild, then she probably won't be given one. Your doctor will know.

If she does need an inhaler, she'll be given a reliever inhaler (the blue one), and possibly a preventer (the brown one that contains steroids) if she have moderate to severe asthma.

You really need to see her doctor, though.
depends on the severity both of the asthma and of the flares. But she wants medication. Otherwise you are looking at permanent airway remodeling from scarring, which raises the risk of COPD's and lung cancer surrounded by later life.

She will necessitate both a rescue med (bronchodialator, either as a neb or mdi via spacer (mdi via spacer can be used for children from age 2 mths on,) and a maitanence medication (intal, cortisteroid)

The goal of a maitanence medication is hang on to flares from occuring so that you rarely have to use the bronchodialator. Inhaled steroids are one of the safest meds around, safer next the natural ones even. This is because inhaled steroids go straight into the lungs and what isn't needed is excreted by the body beside little to no buildup in other organs (esp. if under 800 mgs daily).

A pediatric pulmonologist is a specialist surrounded by not only respiratory diseases, but in childrens respiratory diseases. My oldest son be diaged at age 10 mths and my youngest at age 2 mths, and my grandson at age 6 mths..all seen by like pediatric pulmonologist. They diagnose based on symptoms and family history. At around age 4 they will do pfts, within are infant pfts available if the diagnosis is in question as ably, but most do not use them, as they can tell by the reaction to the meds if the child is have asthma or asthma type flares.

It depends on the long-suffering. Two is a little young for an inhaler. A nebulizer, conceivably. ASK HER DOCTOR.
a few years ago, my nephew also have ever be hit asthma, and every recurrence she hardly suffered until she must be taken watchfulness of in hospital.

now she enjoy been quit of of the asthma disease, after she eats Qny, Cc and Fne ( forgiveness cannot specifically, next is thought advertisement), now she recovers total.

Hopefully can assist.

Well, typically we don't diagnosis children less than 3 years of age (at the minumum) next to asthma ... due to the small airways .. there are many virus and respiratory infections that mimic asthma . so I am puzzled why a 2 year old would have that diagnosis ... Toddlers are tough to diagnosis asthma ... my nouns would always be that the diagnosis came from a pediatric pulmonologist and allergist

i don't know nearly medication...but also some taking up carpets and replacing curtains with blinds etc... help prevent some asthma attacks in young children.
i ponder you should see a doctor instead of asking it on AsthmaAsk.com.

anyways, one medication for asthma (not sure if it is kid friendly) is albuterol. it is a bronchodialator..others may include stereoids..but not the kind you find in weightlifting
Terbutaline Sulphate
