Shortness of breath beside acute asthma?
about five days ago i noticed i be short of breath again and took extra ventolin and nebuliser.
This helped after two days and i felt fitting on the third day but continued with the meds.
But on the fourth daylight i awoke feeling very short of breath and distressed so i saw my local doctor who put me on steriods and tested my lung compacity and sent me on my path.
I came home got final on the nebuliser and actually could breath for the first time all morning, and i felt better untill i layed down to rest i found i had pins and needles within my hands and legs and numbness, I tried to ride it out but then my moved out shoulder began to shake and i started to choke and was incompetent to breath.
I went to the hospital where they give me more steriods and oxegen but said i over breath and need to see an immunoligist.
I get fundamentally weak in the chest and somtimes consistency i just cant do it anymore.
has anyone have this before? what is it? how can i make my living breathing hell better?
Answers:
I have something similar happen to me about nine years ago. I be in and out of the ER for days on end, over and over. The unbroken thing lasted for months...
It turned out I be allergic to a couple things: Albuterol (!) and mold that was beneath the paneling on the walls in my children's bedroom.
The mold be what started my wheezing and kept it up, and the Albuterol was just count to the problem.
Eventually I broke out in hives at the doctor's office when they put me on the nebulizer near Albuterol.
After that they gave me different meds and we eventually moved out of that house.
Seeing an Immunologist might help. I merely happened upon what was making me so sick on twist of fate, I was lucky (if you can call not human being able to breathe, lucky!).
I totally understand the anodyne feeling in your chest and the premonition that you just can't do it anymore. Hang in near! You will find what is causing you such distress and you'll feel better when you do.
